HypnoBirthing® doesn't require any particular belief system, or any prior experience of relaxation. Some of our mums (and especially their husbands!) have been sceptical at first - until they experience it for themselves. Just imagine welcoming each surge! In short, HypnoBirthing® allows you to experience birth in an atmosphere of calm relaxation, free of the fear and tension that prevents the birthing muscles of your body from functioning as fully as Mother Nature intended them to.
The good news is that you can now learn all these great techniques in Helsinki in English! If either you or your spouse doesn’t speak Finnish well enough, this is a great oportunity to join a group of like-minded people for two interesting and stimulating days and learn valuable techniques which will not only help you to have a calmer and more comfortable birth but that will also benefit you in your life in general.

- Importance of hormones and how to enable optimum hormonal functioning
- How the partner can help the mother to relax, using eg. light touch massage
- How affirmations and visualisations can help in creating trust & peace
- How to deal with challenging situations and re-create relaxation
- Three different breathing techniques: between surges, during surges and when the baby is born
- Effective positions in the birthing phase that use gravity to help the baby to come out
- Perineal massage technique (helps the perineum to open and greatly reduces the need for episiotomy)
